Anti-Infective

• To avoid contamination of the bottle tip, do not touch the bottle tip with material from your eye, your fingers or other source. Wash hands thoroughly before using BESIVANCE®.
• Do not wear contact lenses while using BESIVANCE® or any time you have signs or symptoms of an eye infection.
• Before each use, turn the BESIVANCE® bottle upside down and shake once. While upside down, remove cap, tilt head back and gently squeeze bottle to put in one drop into the affected eye(s).
• The most common side effect reported in clinical studies was eye redness in approximately 2% of patients. Other side effects reported in approximately 1-2% of patients were blurred vision, eye pain, eye irritation, itchy eye and headache.
• Safety and effectiveness in infants below one year of age have not been established.
• Not for injection into the eye.

• Do not use ZYLET® if you have eye infections caused by most types of viruses; bacteria known as mycobacteria; or fungus.
• ZYLET® contains a medicine known as a corticosteroid. Using corticosteroids for a long period of time may result in glaucoma and vision problems. If you use ZYLET® for 10 days or longer, your doctor may monitor pressure in your eye.
• Use of corticosteroids may result in cataract formation.
• Use of steroids (corticosteroids) after cataract surgery may delay healing and increase bleb formation (a type of lesion on the eye).
• Use of corticosteroids may increase the chance, or the severity, of an infection in your eye, or it may hide an eye infection, including viral infections like herpes simplex and fungal infections. If your eye symptoms do not improve after 2 days of taking ZYLET®, contact your doctor for an examination.
• If you develop pain or redness, itching or inflammation get worse, contact your doctor.
• Some patients may be hypersensitive to aminoglycosides (antibacterial medications) applied to body surfaces. If you develop sensitivity to ZYLET®, stop using it and contact your doctor.
• Do not allow the dropper tip to touch any surface, as this may contaminate the suspension.
• Do not wear soft contact lenses when using ZYLET®.
• The most common adverse reactions were eye redness, superficial punctate keratitis (a specific type of eye surface irritation), increased pressure in the eye, and burning and stinging when putting ZYLET® drops in the eye, and burning and stinging when putting ZYLET® drops in the eye, and headache.
